5 really good stunt scooters – five models compared

5 really good stunt scooters - ScootWorld

There is no single stunt scooter that is best for everyone. The right choice depends on how tall you are, where you ride and how much you want to spend. Here are five models we sell a lot of, set side by side so you can see the differences.

Five things that decide the choice

  • Construction – a complete scooter is cheaper and simpler; a scooter with strong dropouts and a good bar holds up to harder riding.
  • Size – the bar should reach somewhere between hip and navel when you stand on the deck.
  • Weight – under 3.5 kg is easy to jump with; over 4 kg is more stable on big ramps.
  • Compression and bearings – IHC runs tight and can be re-tightened, which means less play in the steering over time.
  • Riding style – park rewards low weight; street rewards a wide deck and strong dropouts.

If you want the criteria explained in more depth, the full run-through is in 6 rules to remember when choosing the right stunt scooter.

If you are buying for a child, height, age and weight are covered in our guide to kids' scooters.

The five models

Panda Nubi – from 64.95 €

  • Height: 75 cm
  • Weight: 2.9 kg
  • Wheels: 100 mm
  • 7 colours
  • Best for: getting started

  • Weight: 3.3 kg
  • Deck: 48 × 10.1 cm
  • Wheels: 110 mm
  • 8 colours
  • Best for: the most for your money

Striker Essential – from 159 €

The only one of the five that comes in three heights, so it can be matched to the rider instead of the other way round. IHC compression and 110 mm wheels.

  • Compression: IHC
  • Wheels: 110 mm
  • 6 colours
  • Best for: all-in-one, whatever your level

Striker Lux 5" Boxed – from 229 €

  • Deck: 5" (12.7 cm) wide, box-cut dropouts
  • Compression: IHC

  • Heights: 90 cm (4.2 kg) or 95 cm (4.5 kg)
  • Deck: up to 15.24 cm wide, 53 or 56 cm long
  • Wheels: 110 mm
